Strawberry Quartz and Garnet Pendant in 18k Gold and Sterling Silver

$510.00

This stone is so interesting! It is called strawberry quartz, but from the info I can find, it is clear quartz with some kind of iron oxide inclusions, either hematite or lepidocrocite. This piece of quartz is especially full of the colorful, confetti-like inclusions which are a deep red and appear to 'float' throughout the stone. With polished silver below the stone, this pendant seems to glow!

This long teardrop shaped stone measures 1 1/8-inches from the top of the 18k gold bail to the bottom of the stone, and I've set it in an 18k gold bezel with a sterling silver backing. I've paired it with a small, faceted garnet, also set in 18k gold. Both stones hang from an 18-inch oxidized sterling cable chain. This pendant will look great worn on its own, or paired with a strand of small, faceted beads or a gold chain.

***Strawberry quartz is clear quartz full of the colorful, confetti-like inclusions which are a deep red and appear to 'float' throughout the stone. Found in Russia and Brazil, strawberry quartz is thought to activate the heart chakra. It is believed to encourage positive bonds to form and help the wearer to enjoy every moment.***

***Garnet is the birthstone for January. It is a stone of purity and truth as well as a symbol of love and compassion. Garnets are thought by some to bring prosperity and to stimulate success in business. They are found all over the world, with the largest supply currently coming from Africa.***

This one-of-a-kind pendant is made with love in my Sonoran Desert studio. xo
