A gorgeous, bright blue Sleeping Beauty turquoise is set in an 18k gold bezel with an 18k bail. There is an 18k gold ball below the stone with the back of the pendant in sterling silver. This striking stone pendant measures 1 1/16-inch x 3/8-inch and hangs from an 18-inch oxidized sterling rolo chain. ***Sleeping Beauty turquoise comes from the Sleeping Beauty Mine near Globe, Arizona. It is known for its solid, bright blue color without much matrix. The mine was closed in the summer of 2012 until further notice, so this turquoise is becoming more expensive and difficult to find. Associated with the throat chakra, turquoise has long been considered a protective stone by many different cultures.***
