A beautiful pair of blue-green Supernova turquoise stones are set in 18k yellow gold bezels for a simple, yet eye-catching pair of earrings. The back of the earrings, the posts and large ear nuts are all sterling silver. This is my favorite color of turquoise - somewhere between green and blue. These stones measure 10 mm which is a bit larger than many of my stud earrings, but still comfortable enough to wear everyday!

***Supernova turquoise is a fairly recently found turquoise. It is from Esmeralda Co. in Nevada and was first made available to jewelers in 2021. Turquoise was one of the first gems to be mined. It gets its blue color from a combination of copper and aluminum. Turquoise is an alternate birthstone for December. Associated with the throat chakra, turquoise has long been considered a protective stone by many different cultures.***
