Mismatched Stud Earrings, Green Tourmaline and Boulder Opal Post Earrings
Mismatched Stud Earrings, Green Tourmaline and Boulder Opal Post Earrings
I love selecting mismatched stones for my cuff bracelets and I thought...why can't I do that with stud earrings? It's fun to wear different earrings in each ear, or you could wear them both in one ear if you have more than one hole in an ear! These are made with one 7 mm glowing green tourmaline and one 7+ mm boulder opal in shades of green and dark blue. They have been set in 18k gold bezels, with the remainder of the earrings in sterling silver. I think they complement each other perfectly!
***Boulder opal is found in the desert of Queensland, Australia. It forms in cracks or as a coating on the surface of sandstone or ironstone. It is thought to assist in emotional and mental balance and can help alleviate depression. Opal is believed to channel a protective energy and can benefit all chakras. It is one of the birthstones for October.***
***Green tourmaline is considered a powerful healing stone. It is thought to help calm the nervous system and emotions and is ideal for channeling the healing power of Nature. It can also help with balancing a fear of change. It is found in Brazil, the US, Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan and the color varies from a light, pastel green to olive to a deep blue-green.***
Made with a little bit of fun in my sunny, Sonoran Desert studio. xo
