Two bright blue pieces of pear shaped Sleeping Beauty turquoise are set in 18k gold with sterling silver backs, posts and nuts. These beautiful stones measure 7 x 9 mm and I've added an 18k gold ball on the rounded side of each earring. The turquoise has been stabilized, so you don't need to worry about them changing color in the future. You can orient them on your ears in whatever direction suits you.

***Sleeping Beauty turquoise comes from the Sleeping Beauty Mine near Globe, Arizona. It is known for its solid, bright blue color without much matrix. The mine was closed in the summer of 2012 until further notice, so this turquoise is becoming more expensive and difficult to find. Associated with the throat chakra, turquoise has long been considered a protective stone by many different cultures.***
