A bright, saturated, orange chalcedony has been made into a perfect summer ring! This bright stone measures 13 mm and is set in an 18k gold bezel with an 18k gold ball on either side of the stone. The remainder of the ring, including the thick, comfortable band, is sterling silver. The smooth dome of the cabochon is nice and low for a very wearable ring.

In jewelry, chalcedony usually refers to the purple-blue color, but chalcedony also includes agate, bloodstone, carnelian, chrysoprase, and two of my favorites: petrified dinosaur bone and petrified wood!
